The City
of Ridgefield and co-chairs Leah Riedel and Jean Moeller
teamed to produce a memorable event
The 5K included older neighborhoods, historic homes including the elegant
Shobert house and two historic churches, the downtown, and the new overlook view
of the refuge. In addition, the 10K featured new, partially-wooded trails behind
Abrams Park, upscale neighborhoods and panoramic views of the valley. Concurrent
centennial events included live entertainment, food, a historic cemetery tour,
antique cars, local artists’ exhibit & sale, children’s games and numerous other
activities.
Sandy Miller worked the 2nd checkpoint and took
these short movies.
