We walked past residential homes south of the Washougal River
to the upscale Lookout Ridge neighborhoods, parks, and trails to the north.
We enjoyed sweeping views of the Columbia River and the surrounding mountains.
We planned to finish on the new Washougal River Greenway loop trail ≠ a
woodsy, picturesque addition to Camasís expanding trail system - including a
new pedestrian bridge over the Washougal River. However, due to flooding, we had to
maneuver around this part of the walk.
Here's Starr McKee, a Sherwood Merrywalker, who
we have to thank for these pictures. She's taken several
thousand on various walks, particularly our Wednesday walks.
