2012 Year Round Events
"Year Round" (or Seasonal) events (YREs) are map-guided and available any day of the year (or part of a year). They usually begin at a local business and have self-start registration areas. Besides a tutorial on the procedure, route maps and written directions are provided to guide you. These types of events are especially popular with volkssporters who want to combine walking with business travel, or plan walking vacations. Check out our Rating System here.

Columbia Gorge Seasonal Walk Begins April 1.

River Gorge. 5km or 10km, Rated 1A. NOTE: This walk is a Seasonal Event, open
only April 1 through September 30. |
Cape Horn Seasonal Walk Begins July 16.
| This difficult 12km walk offers much in beautiful views of the Columbia
River Gorge. An easier 5km option is a serene walk down Cape Horn Road.
