Loads of sunshine greeted 240 walkers on this easy, flat route through
Evergreen Memorial Gardens, several parks and Fircrest neighborhoods.

For the 8th time, we presented this popular annual event. Rainy weather
didn't deter many walkers from enjoying some new holiday displays, uncovered
from the PIR warehouse.

All Weather Walkers and Vancouver USA Volkssporters worked together to bring
you 5 beautiful and unique hikes on Washington's most famous volcano.
Registration was at Toutle High School, then walkers needed to drive to various Start Points on
the mountain.

We are celebrating All Weather Walkers' 15th anniversary as a
club with a popular nature walk in Lacamas Park, the site of our very first
volkswalk in 1992. Come join us!

After one full year, the Firstenburg Community Center celebrated great
success in east Vancouver. This featured a great new route through
area neighborhoods and parks.

Occurring just after Thanksgiving weekend, this annual event at Portland
International Raceway has become a popular kick-off for the holidays.

We return to this quaint historic mill and its restored covered bridge
outside of Woodland, Washington. Walk peaceful country roads and see an
abundance of autumn color. AWW will also be hosting the ESVA state meeting
in Woodland. |

The Corps of Discovery camped on the banks of the Columbia near Washougal
from March 31 to April 6, 1806. Literally walk in the footsteps of the Corps
of Discovery on this weekend. Special history-related drawing prizes were
held.

The City of Ridgefield invited us to be part of its Heritage Day
festivities. We featured our re-vamped "year 'round" route
through the town neighborhoods and everyone loved seeing the new,
beautifully done, Cathlapotle Plankhouse.

This was held in conjunction with the new Firstenburg Community Center's open
house activities. An easy route around Evergreen Airport and through parks and neighborhoods on
Vancouver's east side.

The Christie School Walk of Lights at PIR Thank you, Liz
Connors!
This was a true "All Weather Walkers" event. Many walkers braved
the wind and rain to enjoy the Portland International Raceway's light
displays.

3-4-5, Washington Columbia Gorge Walks Thank you, Dick
Baker and Jan Breneman!
Vancouver USA Volkssporters and All Weather Walkers partnered to
bring another multi-event classic to the Columbia River gorge over Labor Day
weekend. Four great walks were held all three days at Falls Creek Falls,
Stevenson, North Bonneville, and Beacon Rock State Park.

Fircrest Neighborhood Walk Thank you, Jan Breneman!
A Tuesday evening walk through the Fircrest Neighborhood, timed to coincide
with the annual Neighborhood National Night Out. Nature trail,
groomed cemetery, new park paths, and tree-lined streets.

Grass Valley Thank you, Joe Titone and Jan Breneman
Building on our well-received event in 2004, we've added an extra day
and a second walk. The "Flats" walk features Dryer Creek Greenway,
Skyview MS track, and Grass Valley Park. The "Hills" walk features
Prune Hill neighborhoods and trails, the greenway, and terrific views.

International Raceway. Almost 500 walkers got an early start to the
holiday spirit!

This annual walk had another new
route this year, with a woodsy park trail on the east edge of town and
new neighborhoods next to the golf course.

An easy, new walk route on the western
edge of Camas, featuring Grass Valley Park, an overview of Lacamas Lake, and
Skyridge Middle School. Lacamas Swim & Sport fitness club were more than
generous in loaning their facility for our walk.

for this popular annual event at the Portland International Raceway.
This is the only time of year that walkers are allowed on the track.

Creek Grist Mill Again -- Thank you, Joan Heins |
We returned to this wonderful
autumn getaway outside of Woodland, timed with the Friends of Cedar Creek's
annual "Apple Press." A quintessential historic site with its
classic covered bridge, wooded setting, and stone-ground grains. And if that
weren't enough, plenty of sunshine and autumn colors made this a truly
memorable day!

This was a Friday evening
walk through the famous Vancouver Sausage Festival, with its delicious food,
entertainment, and beer garten. A nice, flat trail for a late summer stroll.

Featured Captain William Clark Park at Cottonwood Beach, where
Lewis & Clark's Corps of Discovery camped for several days in 1806. Walk
out and back on the Washougal Dike and see outstanding views of
Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Mt. Hood, Columbia River, and
Reed Island. Event

A summer evening walk on the north end of Vancouver
beginning from the Holiday Inn Express; trails on WSU campus paths and surrounding vicinity. An outdoor Community Backyard Concert
series was held this evening, featuring Misty Creek's folk and
Americana music.

Walkabout Thank you, Nancy Allen! |
This was a Saturday-only walk starting from
the Orchards YMCA at the corner of SR-500 and 112th Avenue. We saw a
quaint, original feed store building and learned many little-known facts
about Orchards history.
