Winter (October 1 – April 30):  5/10/12 km (3.1/6.2/7.8 mi.)

Summer (May 1 – September 30): 6/10/11/14 km (3.5/6.2/6.8/8.6 mi.)

    The recently opened Gibbons Creek Wildlife Art Trail features scenic viewpoints of three small lakes, the Columbia River, and Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Many bird varieties, other wildlife, and natural habitat. Enjoy the unique art. Remote Start. Be sure you are off the trail before an automatic entrance gate at the remote trailhead closes promptly at the posted time.

    The Gibbons Creek and Columbia River Dike trails combine for several distance options. The 12k and 14k routes start directly from Papa's start point, through a pedestrian plaza and tunnel under SR-14; all others are remote starts, 2.5 miles from Papa's. Due to a seasonal trail closure, wintertime distances are out-and-back. No water on trails; carry water with you.

    NOTE:  a new 5km route directly from Papa's is now available all year long, and leashed pets are welcome (with proper clean-up). Route includes the pedestrian tunnel, Columbia Dike trail with river views, Cottonwood Beach, and Captain William Clark Park.

    Restrooms and water at registration; restrooms only at trailhead. Suitable for strollers but difficult for wheelchairs. NO PETS are allowed on the new Gibbons Creek Trail. WSC: Landscapes – Mountains, Forests, Gorges.

  Directions to Papa's Ice Cream:

      From Vancouver, Interstate 5 (Exit #1A) or Interstate 205 (Exit #27), take State Route 14 East to Washougal. Just past Mile Post 16, turn left at traffic light onto Washougal River Road. Right on Main two blocks to Papa’s Ice Cream. Park on street or in underground parking garage behind building off A Street.
