New route this year. The new Gibbons Creek Wildlife Art Trail (art features scheduled to be installed Spring 2010) features scenic viewpoints of three small lakes, the Columbia River, and Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Many bird varieties and other wildlife, natural habitat, and unique art signs. Remote Start. Be sure you are off the trail before an automatic entrance gate at the remote trailhead closes promptly at posted time (around dusk).

The Gibbons Creek and Columbia River Dike trails combine for several distance options. The 13k and 15k routes start directly from the AM/PM start point, through a new pedestrian plaza and tunnel under SR-14 (due to be completed in February); all others are remote starts, 2.5 miles from AM/PM. Due to a seasonal trail closure, wintertime distances are out-and-back. No water on trails; carry water with you.

Restrooms and water at registration; restrooms only at trailhead. Suitable for strollers but difficult for wheelchairs. NO PETS are allowed on the new Gibbons Creek Trail. WSC: Art Fountains/Artwork; Landscapes Mountains, Gorges/Valleys.
