ALL WEATHER WALKERS - YRE Challenge

Complete a 6-month segment and win this patch and 2 free AWW walk certificates.  Complete a second 6-month segment and win the same prize or substitute another free walk for the patch.

Complete a card in the calendar year (two 6-month segments) and be entered into the grand prize drawing.

After a trial run for club members only in 2007, our new AWW Challenge is available to any walkers in 2008. This program features our nine YREs in Southwest Washington, and participants can win prizes and also be eligible for a Grand Prize drawing at the end of the year.

In each half of the year (i.e., January-June 2008 and July-December 2008), anyone who pays the fee for each of our nine YREs will get an AWW patch and 2 free AWW walk certificates.  Complete both half years and your name will also be entered to win a Grand Prize gift certificate drawn from all completed cards – the drawing will be held in February 2009.  Each completed card counts as one entry and there is no limit to the number of cards you can complete in each year.

Some changes have been made to our YREs in 2008:

• Lacamas Lake walk is moved from Fishers Landing Fred Meyer to a new start point at Lakeside Chalet Restaurant in Camas.
• The start point for the popular WSU Vancouver campus has moved to the nearby Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.
• The route at Fred Meyer Fishers landing changed to feature Cascade park neighborhoods, parks, and a beautiful corporate park west of the store.
• New routes are in place at Washougal and north Bonneville (Seasonal).
• The Burnt Bridge Creek and Frenchman’s Bar events will continue unchanged from the Vancouver Health & Rehabilitation Center.
• Felida and Ridgefield (Seasonal) routes remain unchanged, but have updated instructions.
• Orchards walk from the YMCA was discontinued.
